Privacy policy

The short version

The Breeze app collects nothing. It has no account system, talks to no server, and contains no analytics or advertising SDK. Everything you record stays in a database on your own iPhone. This website collects no personal data either — the tools run entirely in your browser, and nothing you type into them is transmitted anywhere.

1. The app collects no data

Uric acid readings, medications, doses taken, flares, daily factors, water intake and appointment questions are stored only on your device. Neither the developer nor any third party can access them, because they are never sent anywhere.

2. No account, no network dependency

There is no sign-up and no login. The app's features, including the food database, work fully offline and communicate with no server.

3. No third-party tracking

The app integrates no advertising, analytics or attribution SDKs and performs no behavioural tracking.

4. System permissions

Notifications are the only permission requested, and only once you add a medication reminder, a water reminder or a follow-up date. They are scheduled and delivered on the device. You can turn them off in iOS Settings at any time. No information is collected through notifications.

5. Your control over your data

• Export — under Me → Export data, export everything you have recorded as a file, at any time.
• Delete — under Me → Clear all data, erase all health data on the device. Uninstalling the app also removes it.
• No recovery. Because no copy exists anywhere else, deleted data cannot be restored by us. Export before deleting the app or changing phones.

6. This website

The purine database, the unit converter and the level chart run entirely in your browser. Values you type are not submitted, logged or stored. The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. It is served as static files from a content delivery network, whose operator processes standard server request logs (including IP address) for delivery and abuse prevention — this is infrastructure logging, not analytics we collect or read.

7. Children's privacy

Breeze is intended for adults managing their own condition. It is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the effective date above is updated and the same text is updated inside the app.

Medical disclaimer

Breeze records and summarises health data that you enter. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose any condition, does not recommend or adjust medication, and does not tell you what to eat.

Purine values published on this site describe foods as measured in their source databases; they cannot tell you what is safe for you personally. Uric acid reference values are population-level figures published by clinical bodies, reproduced with the guideline and year they come from — they are not an assessment of your reading. Trigger summaries in the app report how often a factor appeared before recorded flares and make no causal claim.

None of this replaces professional medical care. Discuss your readings, your diet and your medication with a doctor or dietitian, and seek medical attention for symptoms that concern you.

This site and its tools are provided as-is, free of charge, without warranty of any kind. Purine and reference values are reproduced from published sources in good faith; errors are possible, and corrections are welcome at the address above. You are responsible for decisions you make using this information, and are encouraged to make health decisions with a clinician rather than a web page.
